These opportunities require that greater efforts be made to broaden exchanges between China and the United States in a variety of areas, including politics, economics, culture and education. International exchanges can deepen mutual understanding, enhance cooperation and strengthen friendship between the two governments and between the peoples of both countries. These goals are consistent with the common interests of both countries and are also conducive to world peace and to the advancement of modern civilization.
The United States and China Foundation is a non-profit organization established in the United States in 1992. Its purpose is to facilitate exchanges between the United States and China in areas including politics, economics, finance, law, education, culture, media, science and technology. The Foundation also provides financial support to both Chinese and Americans engaged in research or advanced study in these disciplines. The Foundation provides assistance to individuals working in the areas of industry, business, law and finance, who are interested in promoting Sino-American friendship and relations and who are interested in enhancing exchanges in the above-mentioned areas. The Foundation also provides consulting services to U.S.-China bilateral trade companies, business associations, banks, non-government organizations and government ministries. |
