1、Larry Lee, President of USCF and Vice President International of NeuIsys, LLC, a US distributor for Neusoft medical recently visited the US headquarters of NeuIsys. There he met with Kim Russell, President and CEO of NeuIsys, and Dr. Joseph Jenkins, Chief Medical Officer of NeuIsys. The three discussed current sales and operations of NeuIsys, and the US medical market. NeuIsys is utilizing the product line of Neusoft Medical, and Philips Neusoft Medical Systems to serve private doctors in the United States . NeuIsys is the worldwide leader among distributors outside of China.NeuIsys had a record closure for 2007, and a very good first quarter for 2008.
It has worked with Barco, a noted software provider in the US for 3D Imaging and Virtual Colonoscopy to develop and provide a comprehensive solution for CT Colonoscopy to the US Gastroenterologists for the screening for colon cancer. Every person over 50 years of age in the US is encouraged to have a colonoscopy, or now a CT colonoscopy to screen for colon cancer or related intestinal disorders. NeuIsys, utilizing the Philips Neusoft CT system, and the Barco software will be able to provide doctors an in-office solution to help their patients.
2、China International Travel and Culture Development Forum will officially become an annual Forum and a regular cultural brand of USCF.
Larry Lee, president of USCF recently visited Sanya, and inspected Hilton Hotel, Sheraton Hotel, and Marriott Hotel there. All these hotels were vying with each other for being the venue of holding this travel forum.
Larry Lee also met with Mr. Li Baiqing, a Vice Mayor of Sanya who is in charge of tourism. Mayor Li welcomed the establishment of this travel forum program of USCF in Sanya and said the timing for this forum is auspicious.
Larry Lee added that USCF would present a series of programs related to travel and culture such as keynote speakers, introduction of travel programs and exhibitions of calligraphy, paintings and photography of masterpiece as well as concerts, etc given by Chinese and American artists to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of Hainan Province and the Boao Forum to be held there.
Also, Larry Lee recently met with the related officials from Hainan provincial government. The celebrities in all walks of society in Hainan all agreed that these series of programs in Hainan would be very creative and influential. They would give full support to these programs of USCF in Hainan .
Larry Lee, president of USCF, and his assistant Qi Ping as well as other staff visited Sanya, Dingan County and other areas respectively; met officials from other municipal, county governments. The group headed by Larry Lee inspected the current development in Hainan to set a long-term development strategy for USCF in Hainan .
3、 Huang Weiqi, chief representative of USCF Southwest Branch Office is now on his business trip in US.Mr. Huang Weiqi flew to Minnesota from San Francisco on April 7 and visited Monterey Institute of International Studies, being accompanied by USCF’s member Wang Congxue. Dr. Ernest Scalberg, Dean of its Int'l Business School of Monterey Institute of International Studies, a long term friend and senior advisor of USCF, received Huang Weiqi warmly. Huang Weiqi introduced the current developments in Southwest China . Huang’s group also visited the coastal town of Monterey .
Huang Weiqi was invited to attend the Beijing Olympics Torch Relay Ceremony to be held on the Golden Gate Bridge area in SF on April 9 ( America time). Ms. April Zhong, and Ms. Yang Liu Hong, members of USCF, would accompany Huang Weiqi to attend this event.
4、Well-known American composer and singer, Troy Lush, has officially confirmed that he will come to China for starring in a MTV “One World, One Dream” with Julia Jiali Zhu, the art director of the United States and China Foundation. This MTV program is going to be directed by Shu Yun - a well-known director of CCTV. Top management of USCF believes that presenting this MTV program to the public at this critical moment will be very significant.
5、On April 17, Larry Lee, President of USCF, invited well-known calligrapher of USCF, Wang Shanli, to come to Beijing. Larry Lee and Wang Shanli met with Professor Zhou Hongxing, senior advisor of USCF and well-known calligrapher at Taiji Guildhall in Beijing . This was second time for Wang Shanli to meet Professor Zhou Hongxing through Larry’s introduction. During this meeting, they discussed the details of calligraphy, paintings, and photography exhibitions to be displayed during the China International Travel and Culture Forum, which is organized by USCF to be held in early June in Hainan Province, as well as a series of exhibitions of the above works of art in US. The press conference for the series of exhibitions of these works of art is scheduled to be held in Beijing in early May.
6、 From April 21 to 23, Larry Lee, President of USCF, flew to Sanya, Hainan Province and had a meeting with Li Baiqing, vice mayor of Sanya in charge of travel, on China International Travel and Culture Forum to be organized by USCF. During Larry’s stay in Sanya, Larry also met with general managers of a few of 5-star hotels at Yalong Bay , Sanya and representatives of local major businesses, so on. These meetings achieved good results and reached initial cooperation agreements for the long-term strategic partners with USCF.
7、On April 24, Larry Lee returned to Haikou and attended a Summit Forum on Reform, Opening, and Development in Hainan . During this forum, Larry Lee met with Mr. Wang Zhifa, vice director of China National Travel Bureau; Governer Luo Baoming, Hainan Province ; Vice Governor Chen Cheng, Hainan Province in charge of travel. He also met Mr. Chen Feng, Chairman and CEO of Hainan Airline respectively. They all expressed strong interests and enthusiasm for the forth coming China International Travel and Culture Forum and would give their support to the preparation for this forum.
8、On April 25, Larry Lee, President of USCF, was invited by Hainan committee of Central Commission of Chineses Communist Party to attend the reform and development summit in Hainan. During the forum, Larry Lee met with Luo You Ming, governor of Hiann province; Wang Zhifa, deputy director of National Travel Bureau; Chen Feng, president of Hainan Airline, etc; and communicated with them on the development plan of USCF branch office in Hainan. The officials and friends present told Larry Lee that they would give their full support to the development of USCF in Hainan .
9、On April 26, Larry Lee, President of USCF, attended a press conference on Hainan---International island held at Sheraton Hotel in Haikou . Vice Governor of Hainan, Chen Cheng and Zhang Qi, director of Hainan Travel Bureau, introduced Hainan’s development strategy after Hainan becoming international island, to over 50 medias at this conference. After this conference, Larry Lee exchanged opinions on the International Travel Forum to be held in Hainan with vice governor Chen Cheng and director Zhang Qi respectively. Vice governor Chen Cheng and director Zhang Qi expressed their enthusiasm and support to this forum and added that they would actively took part in this event.
10、On April 27, Larry Lee, President of USCF, met with Mr. Leigh Wai-doo, former senator of Honolulu , Hawaii , well-known Chinese American and descendant of a famous general of the Chinese bourgeois democratic revolution, two times at Xinguo Hotel in Hainan . Larry introduced in detail the background, set-up and current work of USCF to Mr. doo. Mr. doo highly praised the achievements made by USCF in the past 16 years. After the meeting, Mr. Waidoo willingly agreed to join USCF and acted as standing representative of USCF in Hawaii . Larry Lee officially invited him to act as senior advisor of USCF and participate in the preparation work of Hainan International Travel Forum and Sino-US New Energy Forum.
11、On April 28, Larry Lee, President of USCF, met with Director Zhou Ping representing Zhang Qi, director of Hainan Travel Bureau. They had a further discussion on Hainan International Travel Forum organized by USCF and reached initial consensus on the date, topics and attendees, etc. of this forum.
