1，After the Chinese Spring Festival USCF Beijing office announced the following new appointments: Mr. Qi Ping was appointed as special assistant to president of USCF, chief representative of USCF Beijing office; Miss Wang Lu Chan was appointed as media and communication supervisor of USCF Beijing office; Miss Wu Ying was appointed as marketing and planning supervisor of USCF Beijing office; Mr. Liang Shuang was appointed as secretary of USCF. Mr. Ma Di continued to act as administrative supervisor of USCF. Mr. Dai Tong De, former chief representative of USCF Beijing office left USCF and continued to have a good relationship with USCF.
2， Larry Lee, the president of USCF flied to Haikou , the capital city of Hainan Province, to set up the US-China Forum on the International Tourist topic to be held in May this year. Mr. Lee met Zhou Wenzhang, the leader of the Province in charge of culture and communication on the 24th, and two major members of USCF in Hainan . Mr. Zhou banqueted Larry Lee at noon. Larry Lee also met his former colleague at Beijing University , well-known author Da Li and his wife at this gathering. Da Li offered Larry his latest novel entitled” America , a war of a woman”.
The organizing committee has been established this morning (the 25th of Feb.) at Hainan Provincial Tourist Corp. All parties showed their strong interest in this meaningful event, which is planed before the mid of this coming May. Many US and Chinese professionals in this industry will join this Forum.。
3，On February 27, Larry Lee, president of USCF, banqueted USCF’s close friend, Consul General of US Consulate in Shanghai , Kenneth Jarrett at Hilton Hotel of Shanghai. Manager General of Hainan Travel Corp., member of USCF, Wang Junwu and Mr. Song Dingyuan, chief representative of USCF Shanghai Office were also present at this meeting.
On the evening of February 27, Larry Lee met his close friend, president of Culture and Broadcasting Company of Shanghai , Mr. Xue Peijian. They exchanged views on activities and programs related culture in Shanghai .
During his visit in Shanghai Larry Lee also met well-known composer, pianist, conductor, lyrics-writer, Shen Chuan Xing. They discussed the details of the concert “Redwood, the journey of harmony and friendship” to be held in Shanghai .
4，On February 28, Larry Lee, flew to Shenyang from Shanghai to inspect the work of USCF Shenyang office and met Liu Jian, president of Neusoft Digital Medical Systems Company, Zhang Dan, manager general of marketing department of Neusoft Digital Medical Systems Company; Yang Hong Wei, manger of marketing department targeting America of Neusoft Digital Medical Systems Company. Both parties pleasantly discussed the bright prospect and successful cooperation in the US market.
5，On the evening of February 28, 2008, Li Pengyu, director of the Bureau for Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation banqueted Larry Lee in Shenyang . Director Li presented Larry Lee with the letter of appointment as the adviser of Shenyang Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. Larry Lee was very grateful for the recognition from Shenyang Municipal government and people and expressed that he would continue to make his best efforts to promote the trade and economic cooperation between Shenyang and Houston . On the following morning, Larry Lee and all staff in USCF Shenyang office had business breakfast together at the Marriot Hotel where Larry stayed. Larry Lee made arrangements and planning for the work of USCF Shenyang office to be done in 2008.
During his stay in Shenyang , Larry Lee also met USCF’s partner, well-known calligrapher, master in tablet inscription cursive script of the Northern Dynasty, Mr. Wang Shan Li. USCF will arrange for Mr. Wang to give his calligraphy exhibition in major cities in China and America .
