News Letter of USCF for June, 2006

On June 7th, 2006, Former US President George H. Bush sent a very nice letter to President of USCF, Larry Lee and expressed appreciation for his visit to his office in Houston the other day. President Bush attached much importance to Former Art Supervisor, Soprano Julia Zhu’s solo concert which is to be held in Indianapolis and promised to attend the concert with his wife Barbara when the concert is held in Houston.

From June 5 to June 10, President Larry Lee flew to Shanghai, Guangzhou and Nanjing, etc and met with several important partners to promote around show of Splendid Fashions of China throughout the Ages, US and China Entertainment Company and prepare to establish an office in South China.

On June 15, Larry Lee and another four employees were invited to visit the Beautiful Stone Art Museum of Professor Zhou Hongxing on the second floor of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Hall and appreciated more than 100 delicate and pretty painted cupboards which were collected by Professor Zhou. Professor Zhou wrote calligraphy with his fingers and sent it to Professor Eugene Grace as a gift. Professor Zhou and USCF agreed to hold a Cultural and Art Salon in early July.

On June 25, the staff of USCF made every effort to prepare for the Salon and Larry Lee named this salon Dream of Mid-summer, an Artistic Night.

On July 2nd, 2006, USCF and Beijing Beautiful Natural Stones Exhibition Hall hosted “A Mid-Summer’s Night Dream”, a cultural and artistic event, in the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Hall. The event provided an opportunity to gather with friends to enjoy a variety of art forms in an elegant, relaxing and harmonious atmosphere.

The guests entered the hall to light background music. They viewed the calligraphy works of Professor Zhou Hongxing, along with natural marble pictures, lacquerwork and other works that are part of his collection.

Larry Lee, President of USCF, introduced the host of the ceremony Xie Yingling, to the guests, marking the official start of the event. Ms. Xie introduced the guests of honor. President of USCF Larry Lee and Curator of The Stone Exhibition Zhou Hongxing each addressed the guests briefly. Then more than 30 models performing in the Splendid Fashions of China Throughout the Ages hit the runway, showing clothing from the Tang, Song and Qing Dynasties. The event also featured poetry recitals from the various dynasties. Professor Zhou Hongxing performed Chinese calligraphy using his finger, which won warm applause, as well. Finally, the Champion of the National Model Contest in China, Miss Chen Fangyuan, along with ten other top models, including Liu Sitong and Chen Guan Xiaoyue, showed modern Chinese fashion.
This elegant cultural event is held to offer friends from all walks of life an opportunity to exchange views and ideas and to promote deep understanding and cooperation between USCF and friends working in the fields of business, culture, science and technology, media and law. Luzhou Lao Jiao Co., Ltd presented USCF one hundred bottles of Chinese wine and we offered them to the guests as gifts. At 9 PM, the salon ended.
