2, On June 17, 2004, the Opening of USCF Dalian Office and USCF’s Key Projects Press Conference is held. China International University, a share holding university invested and cooperated by both US and Chinese investors, will begin its construction in Sept.The international university project is signed by Larry Lee, President of USCF, and Mo Jianwen, President of Beijing Xintuo Yinhao International Investment Company in the Great Hall of the People on April, 21, 2004. Former US President George Bush attended the project signing ceremony.The international university in Dalian will establish Media College and International Finance College with New York University in the US, International Relations College, Foreign Languages College, Environment Protection College, Mechanics Engineering College, Graduate College, Liberal Arts College, and etc. with the cooperation of Yale University, and International Languages Center and International Business School with the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Furthermore, German and French universities agreed to join in the international university to build up German Dept., French Dept. and International Relations Dept., International Economics Dept.The United States and China Foundation (USCF) is a non-profit organization established in the United States in 1992. 3, On June 19, 2004, Chai Zemin, General Advisor of USCF arrived in Shenyang. USCF hold a banquet party at Shenyang Continent Hotel. Liaoning Meiya Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. sponsored the activity and Huachen Jinbei Company Ltd. prepared a 1car to meet Mr. Chai.The party started at 6 o’clock pm. Mr. Shi Yunzhi, Commercial Representative of USCF Shenyang Office hosted it. 4, On the evening of June 22,2004, a reception was held for the opening of USCF Dalian Office at Xiang Zhou Hotel in Dalian. Many well-known guests attending the reception included Mr. Chai Zemin, first Chinese Ambassador to the US, General Advisor of USCF; Ms. Kristen Scott, former UN official, Senior Advisor of USCF; officials from related Dalian District; Larry Lee, president of USCF and many CEOs from well-known business enterprises in Dalian.Main media in Dalian reported the reception. The reporters from Liaoning TV Station also covered this event .During the reception, Ambassador Chai Zemin highly valued the achievement made by USCF on the exchange between the US and China in recent years, and drank a toast with more than 200 guests attending the reception to the opening of USCF Dalian Office.Mr. Larry Lee, delivered a welcoming speech. In his speech, he praised the work made by the staff at Dalian office for the preparation and establishment of USCF Dalian Office. He also introduced recent major programs of USCF to the guests. 5, USCF Association opens its branch in Shenyang, Liaoning. Mr. Wang Gang acts as chairman of Association of USCF in Liaoning Province. Mr. Zhang Chunzhi acts as Secretary General of Association of USCF in Liaoning Province. Mr. Jiao Yanqing, acts as Assistant to Presidents of USCF, Senior Investment Advisor of USCF. He will also be responsible for the daily management of Association of USCF in Liaoning Province.
6, Ms. Julia Zhu, supervisor of Art and Culture Exchange Department of USCF, had take part in the final competition for young singers at 19:30 on July 12, on CCTV3 in Beijing.
7, On June 6, Larry Lee, president of USCF, as a special guest, attended the graduation ceremony of first EMBA program of Sino-US Management School sponsored by University of Maryland and China University of Economy and Trade. He also met with officials from America and China.
