President and Executive Director of US-China Foundation, Mr. Larry Lee flew to Chicago on the 1st of Dec. 2003, to meet with more American and international clients on the world largest Medical Equipment Expo in Chicago. Meanwhile, Larry Lee talked on USCF's development achievements and the long-term plan with USCF’s Chicago local members during a dinner banquet in the city.
Mr. Larry Lee formally signed the agreement on behalf of MedScan Int’l for a long-term cooperation with Neusoft Group on the Expo held in Chicago.
Mr. Larry Lee accompanied Mr. Zhao Xinliang, Vice-Chairman of Liaoning Political Consultative Conference, Director of Dalian International University leading group on behalf of the Provincial Government, to the US, visiting the related universities in North Carolina, and made a great success. The "International University" in China has been vividly portrayed so far. Mr. William Harrison, Senior Advisor of USCF, held a formal banquet at UNC Chapel Hill campus to welcome old friends of US-China Foundation Mr. Zhao Xinliang, Mr. Li Rongxi (a head of Liaoning Educational Bureau) and their group on December 9th.
During this visit in the U.S., President Larry Lee and Chairman Zhao also visited headquarter of Red Hat, Inc.----a well-known software company located in the campus of NC State University.
USCF’s Int’l University group led by Guan Jian in Dalian is working very closely with Dalian officials, financial institutions and local universities on the ongoing project during December.
December 29, 2003, President Larry Lee flew to Dalian and had discussion with related educational institutions on the co-operation of DIU project. He also met with Dr. Yang Dexin---President of Dalian Tiedao Institute during his visit in Dalian in regard of Dalian Int’l University project.
Larry Lee met and/or discussed with Dr. Christine Choy, Chair & Prof. at NYU, Dr. Marie Ann Fox, Chancellor of NCSU, Dr. Billy Wireman, retired chairman of Queens University and Dr. Ernest Scalberg, Vice-President of Morterey Institute of International Studies and Dean of its International Business School, etc during his USA trip regarding DIU. All parties firmly showed their positive and supported attitude toward the China Int’l University plan.
US-China Foundation has signed the formal memorandum with Chinese Environmental Protection Foundation (CEPF) and Shanghai KeRen Industrial Co., Ltd to jointly hold the “2004 US-China Environmental Protection Forum” in Shanghai on April 19, 2004. And this forthcoming forum will be the fourth session of “US-China Forum”. At the appointed time, we will publish “The Declaration of International Environmental Protection” 2004, Shanghai. And a well-known former US top official will be invited to deliver a special speech at the forum.
As Chinese Lunar New Year drawing near, the staff of USCF held an important meeting. At this meeting, every division managers of USCF summed up their work over the course of 2003, and outlined the promising perspective of USCF in 2004.
