As the New Year’s coming, the unique trademark of USCF, "Musical Night of New Year" is on the active operation. This year, USCF will hold "the New Year's Concert" at the end of December 2003 in Shenyang, Shanghai, Beijing and Dalian At the appointed time, we will step into the New Year, 2004, attending by the melodious music and the sweet songs. We believe that the wonderful performance presented by the musicians must leave a memorable music night to all of the audience.
The subsidiary of US-China Foundation, MedScan International Company has formally signed the contract with Neusoft Digital Medical System Co., Ltd. MedScan has become the exclusive distributor in American for Neusoft Digital Medical System Co., Ltd, marketing Neusoft’s medical equipments into the US, with an annual sales target of 50 million US dollars.
US-China Foundation has formally signed the agreements with Liaoning Associated Information Port Co., Ltd, Beijing GuoYanYuHua Educational Study Center and Shenyang XinHao Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd to be the strategic partners.
From Nov. 23 to Nov.25, 2003, Mr. George Wilson, Dean of North Carolina State University, who is in charge of international affairs, Mr. Jason Shih, professor of North Carolina State University, Mr. Larry Lee, President of US-China Foundation, made a three-days visit in Dalian on the project "Dalian International University". During the visit, Mr. Zhao Xinliang, Vice-Chairman of Liaoning Political Consultative Conference, and the Director of Dalian International University leading group on behalf of the Provincial Government and Mayor Xia Deren met with them and they both held formal banquets for the guests. On the arrangement and accompany of Chairman Zhao, Mr. Li Rongxi, deputy director-general of Liaoning Education Bureau, and Secretariat Mu of Dalian Higher Education Ministry, Mr. Wilson held talks separately with presidents and other leaders of such universities as Dalian Science and Engineering University and Dalian University. The two sides both show their desire to support this project and hope to cooperate as soon as possible. They also discussed in detail about the substantive issues will be concerned later in the cooperation. The talk makes an active and important effect on promoting "Dalian International University".
At noon, Ms. Wang Xiaoli, member of USCF, as well as board chairman of American KaiQiLi Group feasted Mr. Wilson and his group. In the same evening, Mr. Zhao Xinliang, Vice-Chairman of Liaoning Political Consultative Conference, made a banquet in Dalian Shangrila Hotel to welcome Mr. Wilson and his group. Mr. Li Rongxi, deputy director-general of Liaoning provincial, Ms. Yang, Section Chief of Provincial Education Bureau, Ms. Mu Qing, Secretariat of Dalian Higher Education Ministry, Mr. Yu, Director general of Dalian Foreign Economic and Trade Bureau are invited to attend the banquet.
On Nov. 24, 2003, Mr. Xia Deren, Mayor of Dalian met with Dr. Wilson and his group in Dalian Welcome Hotel. A banquet followed. At the same day, on the arrangement of US-China Foundation, Dr. Wilson and his group held talks with presidents and other leaders of Dalian Science and Engineering University and Dalian University.
Mr. Larry Lee, President of USCF flew to the U.S. on November 30,2003, he would accompany Mr. Zhao Xinliang, Vice Chairman of Liaoning Political Consulting Conference, and Mr. Li Rongxi, Deputy Director of Liaoning Education Bureau to visit the related U.S. universities for further co-operation on the Dalian International University project.
