January and February of 2003, the time we bid farewell to the outgoing year, every program of USCF has been carrying forward steadily.
In order to express our thanks to both the old members and the new ones with their warm support and deep care, every office of our foundation called or wrote to each member and each advisor respectively to express our gratitude.
To speed up the course of China's education internationalization, to meet the challenges after China's entry to WTO, to broaden the exchange further between China and USA in the field of education, the cooperative center of the international education development which is subordinate to the United States and China Foundation (USCF), together with over twenty universities in America, will found Chinese international universities in some cities of China as the sponsors. Also the local government and the education department have paid high attention to this project. Now it is on the way to be fulfilled further.
The foundation cooperates with some digital medical company in China to help them develop their market on medical equipments and other advanced products in USA, including founding their branches in USA.
"It is unusual for the ten years' hard work "(said by LinZhengyi, Former Chairman of Liaoyang Literature and Art Association). By now, USCF has undergone ten unusual years. In order to celebrate the extraordinary time, we are going to make a ten-year anniversary book titled "The Splendid Ten Years". The book records vividly ten years' colorful and flowery experiences of USCF with over 150 precious chromo photographs, as well as the exquisite words from our members and friends. It also involves every field widely between China and USA, including bilateral politics, economy, culture, education, science and technology, judicature, media, and environment-protection, and so on. At the same time, the book contains congratulation letters, inscriptions and group photos of all friends of USCF both in China and America. They are: Mr. ChaiZemin, the first Chinese Ambassador to the United States; Mr. QinHuasun, Former Chinese Ambassador in United States; Mr. ZhangYijun, Former Chinese Ambassador to Canada; Mr. YangJiechi, the Chinese Ambassador to the United States of America; Mr. ZhangHongxi, the Consul General of Chinese Consulate to New York; Dr. Henry Kissinger, Former U. S. Secretary of State; Mr. James R. Sasser, Former American Ambassador to China, Former Senator of USA, and Chairman of the Parliamentary Financial Committee. Now, the book is on the work of typesetting and checkage. And after the publication, we will send the books to politics circles, business circles, education circles and those in other areas.
"The whole year's work depends on a good start in spring", and every activity of USCF in the new year has been carried out. Our foundation is walking up to the next "splendid ten years" with enough confidence and strength.
