The United States and China Foundation (USCF) saw a busy end to 2002.

From Dec 4 to 6, the Liaoning Province Educational Delegation, headed by Larry L. Lee, Executive President of US-China Foundation, visited Durham, North Carolina, USA. The delegation was accorded a cordial reception in Durham by senior consultant, William Harrison, and Director Bogdan T. Leja and Professor Jason Shi from North Carolina University. The US-China Foundation arranged for the Delegation to visit three famous universities. Every of the delegation highly praised the efforts made to promote exchanges between the United States and China. Liaoning Province also offered an invitation to the leaders of the universities in North Carolina to come to Liaoning during the coming spring.

In mid December, the consultants and friends of US-China Foundation expressed their approval of the work accomplished in 2002, and sent their best wishes for the coming year. The employees of the foundation also sent best wishes for the New Year.

The Sino Consulting Co. Ltd., a subsidiary company of US-China Foundation, has been making preparations for the program aimed at establishing the Dalian International University.

On Dec 25, the “Sino-US Friendship Christmas Party” was held in the Shanghai Golden Crown Hotel. It was hosted by the US-China Foundation and co-hosted by Hongkong Tiansheng International Group and Shanghai Jinguo Cultural Information Consulting Co., Ltd. Larry Lee made an excellent speech at the party, describing the work of USCF in the past year and expressing his expectation for an even better year in 2003. . The guests highly praised the work of USCF in 2002. Ms. Julia Zhu, Supervisor of US-China Foundation was invited to perform two famous Chinese folk songs; “I Love You, Snow of North China” and “Unforgettable Tonight”. All the guests present acclaimed her singing.

Expectations are for a bright and busy tomorrow for the US-China Foundation.
