As we all know, the California red wine enjoys a worldwide fame, while green tea has been a symbol of profound Chinese culture. Red wine comes from America and green tea comes from China. China has an indissoluble bond with the red color since ancient times. Chinese people have deep love for the red color, with the aim of pursuing a blooming life and are happy to see the stock market to go red, while in America, green color symbolizes life, growth and prosperity. When stock market rises, we will see a green picture and a red one when it goes down, like bathing under fire. However, this time we will endow red color with America, while leaving green color to China: mellower red wine comes from California, green tea comes from China. The combination of red and green symbolizes the friendly exchange and mutual learning of these two countries in the past forty years. In reality, China and America have learned from each other both in cultures and social systems. Neither of these two countries can be completely separated from each other. Both are interdependent on each other.

The organizer hopes to promote non-governmental exchange and cooperation in various fields between two countries through this “Red Wine and Green Tea Dialogue” event. We'll mobilize all positive factors in organizations, communities and individuals to further enhance US-China relations so as to make contributions to the world harmony and peace and benefit both nations.
