This year is the 20th anniversary of US and China Foundation, as well as the 40th the 40th anniversary of Sino-US people to people friendship and the former US president Richard Nixon's initial visit to China.

Forty years has been passed. The red wood from US California planted beside Hangzhou West Lake has grown into towering trees, and the new born baby has grown up. With the vigorous development of Sino-US relation and various cooperation between the two countries, all sorts of feelings well up into our minds. We should never forget the touching memeories between our two people through the 40 years.

US and China Foundation was founded under the wild needs of people to people friendship between US and China. For the past 20 years,with the support, encouragement and participation of countless friends,USCF originated and organized numerous projects and activities which extended to almost all the fields about people to people friendship. This is a great and happy career which brings us a full sense of achievements, since the career bridges 1.6 billion Sino-US people’s hearts and also promote the harmony and peace of the global village.

For the sake of memorying the 20th anniversary of US and China Foundation,my alumni from Dunke University and the 40th anniversary of former US president Richard Nixon’s visit to China, we hold this music reception named “Red Wine and Green Tea Dialogue”to recall the history,to inspect the present and to look into the future. Therefore, we could get a more rational and pragmatic awareness of US and China relation.

My dear friends, let us standing on the highest point of the past 40 years Sino-US relationship history,with the 21stcentury strategic vision, working hard to bulid healthier, stronger and more stable Sino-US friendship and cooperation and to benefit the descendants and the entire human race.
