WHEREAS, The United States and China Foundation is a non-profit organization established in the United States in 1992 whose purpose is to facilitate exchange and partnership between the United States and China, as well as provide financial support to both Chinese and Americans engaged in research or advanced study in various disciplines, and

WHEREAS, The United States and China Foundation has steadfastly promoted the ideals of friendship and diplomacy between these two great nations in an atmosphere of team work, goodwill, and camaraderie; and

WHEREAS, The United States and China Foundation has made and continues to make invaluable contributions in the areas of education, policy, finance, business, regulation and community welfare in general.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, on behalf of the constituents of the Twenty-Second Congressional District of Texas, I am proud to recognize the United States and China Foundation, whose dedication to friendly relations is indeed deserving of the special recognition of the United States Congress.
