The International Festival Year of China starts on the 19th and goes through the rest of April. The Redwood Concert is an associate event of the Festival, it is mentioned on the web site - www.ifest.org.
On April 19, there is going to be a reception at the Phoenician Restaurant where while she will not sing, Julia and Ambassador Qiu Shengyun are going to be presented to the Chinese community.
April 20th -
- From 4 to 5:30 PM, former city Council Gordon Quan is hosting an event on behalf of the Asian Chamber of Commerce in the Lobby of Allen Center re the Houston Festival. Julia, Larry and the USCF will again be introduced at this event. Julie has been invited to sing at this event.
- From 6:30 to 9 PM, there will be another event at the Consul General's Office at 3417 Montrose Blvd. Their number is 713-520-1462. Many people coming from China will be recognized at that event including, Julia and the USCF.
April 25th -
there will be a major event at the Consul General's Office at 3417 Montrose Blvd. Their number is 713-520-1462. The theme of the event: Meeting with the artists and get the comblimentary CD of the Redwood collection, Julia's newst CD release.
- From 4 to 8 PM, This one will be focused primarily on introducing Julia and the USCF to the people there. Also, we would definitely plan to sell tickets to the Concert at that time. The idea is that while it starts at 4 PM, this will be primarily for the older people in the community. The Corporate people and many potential sponsors would be coming in more like at 6 PM.
Hopefully the USCF will get some good sponsors signed up either before or at this event. Again，Julia will sing at The Event. Also, this would be another good time for a press conference. Ning Liang, a world class opera singer, will also appear at this event and will sing the famous piece of Habanera from Opera Carmen.
April 30th -
The Redwood Concert at the Cullen Performing Hall at the University of Houston. I think the timing on this is 6 to 8 PM, but I am not sure. Also, Ning Liang will also be singing with Julia.
