* August 27, 2005, President of USCF and Executive President of the Organizing Committee of 2005 China Model Contest Larry Lee, Chief Director of the magazine L’OFFIEL and Executive President of the Organizing Committee of 2005 China Model Contest Zhou Changqing, and Director for the 2005 China Model Contest TV Promotion Gong Haibin met a chief manager of one famous TV channel of China in Beijing Jintai Hotel. The two sides had a three-hours friendly communication about the long-term cooperation on the contest promotion and execution. They reached agreements on many important issues.
* August 24, the Organizing Committee of 2005 China Model Contest gave authorization to Dalian Befut Wire & Cable Co. Ltd and USCF Sheng Yang office for the Model contest organizing and coordinating in Dalian.
* August 22, 2005, the organizing committee of 2005 China Model Contest gave authorization to Dalian Baifute Cable Company, US-China Foundation Shenyang Office for organizing and coordinating 2005 China Model Contest Dalian Division.
* the noon of August 20, 2005, Wang Bing, Secretary of the organizing committee of 2005 China Model Contest, flew to Guang Zhou to hold a talk with officials of Guang Zhou Haishang Silk Road Culture Development Company on the issues of organizing 2005 China Model Contest West East Division. After many rounds of negotiation, both parties signed an agreement on August 22, 2005 for organizing this event in west east of China.
* The work of enlistment and inviting outside investment for 2005 China Model Contest Division is underway. The determination for Northeast, Southwest, Shanghai, Beijing and Guangdong Division Contest nearly comes to end. Many institutions are competing for hosting division contest in Northeast, Southern part of China and Shanghai. The organizing committee of 2005 China Model Contest is considering and choosing prudently the suitable hosting institutions from candidates.
* To promote 2005 China Model Contest, USCF are planning two major parties respectively in Beijing and Shanghai in September.
* Larry Lee, executive director of the 2005 China Model Contest, flew to Hainan and had a talk with the organizing committee of the 2005 China Model Final Contest. Chief officials from Hainan Provincial Government met with Larry Lee and expressed their support for this event. The Culture and Sports Department of Hainan Province also granted a guideline document to give administrative support for this event.
* On August 2, 2005, Zhou Xi Sheng, president of Xinhua.com met with Larry Lee, executive director of the 2005 China Model Contest and president of USCF. Both parties exchanged views on how to promote the work done in Xinhua.com website for this contest. As the exclusive media reporting the event, Xinhua.com has set up a special page in their website for the 2005 China Model Contest in their entertainment column, reporting the latest news for this contest by means of words, sound, video pictures under the principle of timeliness, extensiveness, thoroughness and authoritativeness. Both parties also discussed in detail how to distinguish this event from other ones and refine it step by step.
