Authorized by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, the Art and Culture Promotion Association of China and the United States and China Foundation will front for the China Model Contest in the following 5 years. The first-year competition-----2005 Chinese Model Contest -----will come off on the first ten days of November, 2005. Under the guideline of integrating with the world market the Contest will extend the realm of art of model, make the socio-culture life more active, rule the Chinese model market, stimulate model’s economic growth and prove the place of Chinese model industry in the international model industry.

The China Model Contest will create the Chinese model’ brand in term of international criterion, and bring up, select and recommend the fresh models. The Contest also aim to satisfy manpower demands of the fields of costume, advertisement, model, amenity, entertainment, media, etc.. Meanwhile , it will select and recommend outstanding models for the 2008 Beijing Olympic games as volunteers and providing service related works.
