Former US President George Bush attended USCF Educational Exchange Project Signing Ceremony

At 12:30, April 21,2004, the signing ceremony was organized by USCF and Beijing Xintuo Yinhao International Investment Company. It was co-sponsored by Marketing Resource Group (MR) and held at the People’s Great Hall in Beijing.

Mr. Li Maoqi, well-known host of CCTV 9 hosted the ceremony. Former U.S. President George Bush attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

The guests attending the ceremony included: Mr. Clark T. Randt, Jr., US. Ambassador to China; Mr. Nick Clements, Chief Coordinator of former U.S. President George Bush; Mr. Ernest J. Scallberg, Vice President and Dean of the Graduate School of International Business- Monterey Institute of International Studies; Mr. Gene Grace, Medical Advisor of USCF and well-known specialist on eye diseases; Mr. Dong Quan, Fellow of U.S. Miami University; Mr. Larry Lee, President of USCF; Mr. Zhao Xinliang, Vice Chairman of Liaoning People’s Political Consultative Conference; Mr. Li Rongxi, Vice Director of Education Administration Bureau; Mr. Qiu Yanwen, Vice Director of China Development Bank; Mr. Zhang Xiao Yu, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of China International Corporation Association; Mr. Xie Xinzhou, Vice Dean of Media School of Beijing University; Mr. Mo Jianwen, President of Beijing Xintuo Yinhao International Investment Company; Dr. Yang Huanming, Director of Gene Research Institute of China Science and Technology Research Institute; Mr. Zhou Hongxing, advisor to USCF and former President of Beijing Renwen University; Professor of Beijing Renmin University, well-known educator and well-known calligrapher; Mr. Huai Sha, well-known writer; Mr. Pang Zhuochao, General Manager of MR Marketing Resource Group; and Mr. Guo Ji, General Manager of Beijing Chang Puhe Culture Investment Company.

At the beginning, Dr. Ernest J. Scallberg, Vice President and Dean of the Graduate School of International Business Monterey Institute of International Studies presented Former U.S. President George Bush with a t-shirt from Monterey Institute. Representatives from US and China Universities introduced the development of this project. Mr. Larry Lee, President of USCF and Mr. Mo Jianwen, President of Beijing Xintuo Yinhao International Investment Company signed the agreement of the Dalian International University Project. Mr. Larry Lee and Mr. Xie Xinzhou, Vice Dean of Media School of Beijing University signed an agreement between Beijing University News and Media Training Project, Hong Kong Art College and New York Art School of New York University Cooperation Project.


The cooperation of the above projects will speed up the development of the China Education Industry, share international educational resources, and strengthen the exchange between US and China in the field of education. Dr. Ernest J. Scallberg, Senior Advisor of USCF, founder of Beijing University EMBA Program, and Vice President and Dean of the Graduate School of International Business Monterey Institute of International Studies, said that China needs many top management personel because of China’s status on the international stage and its rapid economic growth. The cooperation between U.S. and Chinese universities is very important for the globalization of Chinese enterprises. Mr. Larry Lee, President of USCF, also stated the importance of the cooperation and it would make U.S. know more about China, as well as strengthen the exchange between American and Chinese people.

Former US President George Bush delivered a speech on U.S.-Sino relationship and education. Mr. Mo Jianwen, Vice President and investor in USCF and President of Beijing Xintuo Yinhao International Investment Company presented former U.S. President George Bush with an award for US-Sino Friendship Excellent Contribution to acknowledge his contribution to the bilateral cooperation between U.S. and China. Mr. Zhou Hongxing, former President of Beijing Renwen University, presented former U.S. President George Bush with his calligraphy: landscapes in different nations, the similarity of wind and moon in the same sky----symbolizing U.S. and China tens of thousands miles away, but the friendship between the two peoples is very close.

The signing ceremony acted as a platform for the cooperation between the U.S. and China Education field and was consistent with the strategy of the Chinese government. With the development of globalization, China needs many top management personel. The goal of this project is to bring in high quality management personel for China utilizing the US educational resources.
