Enjoying the Full Moon Together and Sharing A Harmonious World - Series of Events in New York City Celebrating the Sino-US Friendship

In celebration of the Mid-Autumn festival, the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relation between the US and China, and the 60th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, The United States and China Foundation (USCF) with China International Cultural Communication Center and China Arts and Entertainment Group will present a series of events –“ Enjoying the Full Moon together and Sharing A Harmonious World” on this coming weekend.

This series of events include: 2009 Annual Session of US-China Forum and US-China Business Summit, a Sino-US Friendship Awards Ceremony, which will take place at Park Lane Hotel on Oct 3 and a concert – Redwood, Sino-US Friendship Mid-Autumn Festival Concert which will be performed at Lincoln Center, Avery Fisher Hall at 3 pm, Oct 4.

President Nixon's son-in-law Mr. Edward Cox, the new Chairman of Republican Party in the State of New York , will join this grand concert. The President and the Co-founder of USCF Mr. Larry Lee said, the organizers are also honored to have Ms. Chou Yue, the Director of Chou Enlai Foundation, a grand-children generation of former Chinese Premier Chou Enlai to attend this series of events. Before the concert, Mr. Cox and Ms. Chou will also give formal speeches on 2009 Annual Session of US-China Forum on Oct 3 with many others, including the first China Ambassador to the US Mr. Chai Zemin's son – Mr. Chai Yanqi, first US Ambassador to China Mr. Woodcock's son – Mr. John Woodcock, and Mr. Zhuang Zedong, the Ping Pang Diplomacy's Initiator, and Joseph Reid, the Senior UN Ambassador, etc.

Ms. Kerry Berry Brogan, a shining American movie and TV star/actress in China will make the trip back to US from Beijing to emcee the Redwood concert and celebrate this historical Mid-Autumn night on both 3rd and 4th of Oct. with the over 200 performers and 2750 of audiences. The admission for the Forum and tickets for the concert are available online/onsite.
