The press conference for “ Mutually Enjoying the Full Moon & Sharing the Harmonious World ” - Series of Events in NYC celebrating Sino-US friendship to be hosted by USCF was successfully held at Xinhai Jinjiang Hotel in Beijing at 2.00 pm, September 9, 2009.
Guests of honor including USCF President and Co-Founder, Larry Lee; President of China International Cultural Communications Center, Mr. Long Yuxiang; Senior Advisor of USCF, former Consul of Chinese Consulate in Houston Mr. Hua Jinzhou; well-known Chinese artist Ms. Xu Yanting to give painting exhibition in our NYC events; Mr. Zhuang Zedong who witnessed Chinese table tennis diplomacy between the US; Mr. Gong Haibin from China Foundation for Disabled Persons; Supervisor of Accounting and Investment Department of China Art and Entertainment Group, Ms. Ding Ming; Chairman of Thailand Qinda Hotel Management Group, Mr. Nan Jianlu; Head of China’s State-Owned Assets Management Commission, Vice Dean of Hanhong Art Gallery of the China Calligraphy and Paintings Association; Mr. Ou Desun, Artistic Advisor from CCTV attended this conference.

After introducing the main guests, the presenter from CCTV read the congratulations letter loudly from Director of Foreign Affairs Office of China’s State Council Ms. Li Haifeng, Chinese first Ambassador to the US Chai Zemin, and well-known Chinese pianist Lang Lang.
President Larry Lee explained in detail about the background and preparation of the NYC events. The year of 2009 marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-US diplomatic relations, the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC, October 3 is China’s Mid-Autumn Festival, President Lee added. Chinese Poet Su Dongpo wrote a poem “Would that we could live a long life and together share the moonlight a thousand miles away”. Nowadays China is over 12000 miles away from the US , the two countries exchange closely. We changed the thousand miles into 10 thousands miles in Su’s poem, hoping we could move forward with times.’ After that, Mr. Long Yuxiang, Mr. hua Jinzhou , Ms. Xu Yanting, Mr. Zhuang Zedong, and Mr. Nan Jianlu delivered speeches at the news conference.
The journalists attending the conference asked the questions such as what kind of projects in trade, business sectors is USCF interested in? What is the theme of the paintings exhibition of Ms. Xu Yanting? Is there a special painting to express the NYC events? What kinds of problems did USCF, a non-governmental organization encounter with in preparing these large-scale events?”
President Larry Lee, Mr.Nan Jianlu and Ms.Xu Yanting answered the above questions.
